- You will find some people who sell poultry do so to
- make extra money/ sell off their culls or try to get rid of sick birds. (So many people accept birds dying after only a week or so of introducing new birds and risk their precious birds being exposed to unknown deadly diseases.) Be wary for this from Auction purchases.
- Or worse still sell young roosters and pass them off as hens. We have sold excess stock surplus to our needs because we exhibit poultry.
- We hardly have any cull quality birds due to the standard of our stock. All birds offered are of good standard bred from show quality birds to show standards.
- We line breed so to keep true to line genetics
- We DON'T breed anything to anything and then cull by the axe.
- We record our efforts by toe punching and recording our stock parents in breeding pens.
- for a number of years we were supported in our decisions by the help of an experienced show judge annually and still by showing our birds for feed back. If we aren't sure we ask or find out. We have been supported in our classing efforts and are so grateful to these people for their efforts Tony Hodson,(helped class for a number of years) John Richards, Alan Lawrence , and both Bob French and Ian Grant who are sadly deceased.

- Our birds are Vaccinated against Mareks Disease and Coccidiosis and are regularly treated to prevent internal and external parasites.
- We have years of experience and as we want you do well so we support you with practical animal husbandry advice.
