Warrnambool 17th July 2017 Best bird in show with a Pit Game Bantam Cock, he won Best and Champion Hard Feather Bantam, Best and Reserve Modern Game.With the large Old English game pullets we won Best Hard Feather Standard, best Old English Game and reserve bird in show. Reserve Soft feather Bantam with a lang shan Cockerel. Best Silkie

The game Club Show Geelong 29th July 2017. We gained 1st 2nd thirds with our Pit Game , Modern Game Silver Duck wing and received s special with our large Old English Game Pullet Champion Hard Feather large.
2016 we have bred a good looking flock of birds this year so hope to achieve success.

Footscray and District Show July 23rd. It was a privilege to be part of the jack Pavey Memorial show. Champion Silkie with a Black Hen and Best Modern game with a Partridge pullet. Feeling very fortunate.
2015 we haven't been showing much at all this year due to work commitments on our farm.
2014- due to farming commitments we only attended a few shows this year. Happily we gained one Best Bird in Show and One reserve bird. Further details to come.

2013- We haven't shown our birds often this year due to our annual farm commitments.
1st Show for this year Colac. 23rd June 2013 We took a total of nine birds along. James four Birds. We are very pleased to announce we received reserve bird in show. Beaten by a duck, Thanks Rory and Margaret Ryan. We are so grateful for our Silver Duck wing cock bird to be judged reserve bird in show by Royce Keirl and Stephen legge. Awards are as follows. Reserve Champion in show with Silver Duckwing Cock, Champion Hard Feather Bantam , Champion Hard Feather Bantam Light, and Best of Breed with Duck wing Cock. Reserve Hard Feather Bantam and Reserve Hard Feather Bantam Light with a duck wing Hen. Champion Hard feather standard Heavy with an Indian game Hen along with Best of Breed in a line up of good quality Indian Game. We are privileged to have won the Shalley Family Shield.
James received Champion Large bird in the junior section with a Large Partridge hen.

2012- Due to business commitments we missed some shows already this year. Still we have won enough placement cards to wallpaper a good size room. And enough ribbons to tie up a lot of our Tomato plants which is what Reg Tutty a famous Old English game breeder was reputed doing.

6th Show Ballarat Standard Hard Feather with Indian Game Large Hen. Best of Breed with Old English Game Silver duck wing cockerel. The judge noted that he was narrowly beaten by best bird in show. Junior award Reserve junior award with a Pit Game Cock. Best Hard feather large with Pit Game Hen.
5th Show Geelong A large show. We won the best exhibitor for the day with two other exhibitors working on a points system. champion Hard feather of show with Old English Game Silver duck wing cockerel. Best of breed. 1st with a Wheaten Hen out of a huge class of Wheaten's Junior awards Best large hard feather with Pit hen . Reserve hard feather with Pit Bantam Hen.
4th show Camperdown Reserve hard feather bantam with an Old English Game Silver duck wing Cockerel. Again 1st in a big class of Wheaten females with one of our wheaten Hens. Junior Awards Best Soft feather with a Langshan Hen. Best Hard feather large with Pit Hen
3rd Show for the year Footscray at Bachus Marsh July 26th 2012. Over 700 Entries at this show. Due to time restraints we had a rush to prepare but still fared well getting Best Duck wing with a silver Duck wing Pullet from a large class. 3rd in a large class with a Wheaton hen. Reserve Junior bird with an Old English Game Partridge hen.
2nd show for the year Warrnambool July 14th 2012.400 birds. Some well know exhibitors. Judges Dr. Hamish Russell and James Bishop. Good Competition and just on all birds placed. Major awards include Best Duck wing Bantam, good competition. Reserve Hard feather bantam with a Duck wing Cockerel. Best A.O Variety Large hard feather other than Old English Game with an Indian Hen. The judge made particular comment in his speech in regard to the Indian hen. James won reserve junior bird with a large pit hen. James had persons trying to buy pits large and bantam from him. A good day. Didn't take as many birds as we could have due to time restraints getting them ready.
1st show for the year Colac June 24th 2012 Judge Trevor Dent. Best Indian Game with a Large Dark Hen out of a good line up including competition from an extremely well known Indian Breeder. Reserve Old English Game with a Bantam Silver Duck Wing. The Judge really liked my line up of Duck wing game including Blue Duck wing pullet. Only thing that stopped them going onto major awards was a couple of broken feathers in the tail. There was some competition but we won all classes. We Won with Black and Blue red light leg cockerels against a good line up of competition. James won reserve Junior bird with a Langshan Pullet.

Footscray 21st May 2011- Champion Hardfeather large with a Blue Indian Cockerel. Reserve Junior Bird with an OEG Black red light leg cockerel.
Bacchus Marsh 4th June 2011 -Reserve champion Light breed with Buff Silkie Hen. 2nd with a Silver Duckwing Cockerel in a large class. The 1st place getter was a highly noted bird that came down from Queensland. 1st and 2nd in a lot of large classes. Best Junior bird with a bantam Pit pullet.
Camperdown 12 th June 2011 Beaten by a DUCK for best in show. Reserve bird in show with a Silver Duck wing Bantam Cock bird. 1st and 2nd in Pullet ,cockerel and cock bird classes. Champion Soft feather large with a Blue Silkie Hen. Best Junior bird with a Black red light leg OEG cockerel and Reserve Junior bird with a blue Red Dark leg Cockerel.

Footscray July 23rd 2011. James had a really good day. With 12 birds in tow he won best Junior bird with a Lang shan cockerel who also won best Soft feather. He secured reserve bird with his black pit pullet who also won best hard feather. James was thrilled to win a show carry box donated by David Hughes.
I only showed with a few as we had been away. I secured some 1sts in large classes with Indian Game and Silver Duck wing Bantams.
Due to commitments with the up coming breeding season and horses and farm we wont be attending many more shows this year but will look forward to next year. Will keep you posted.
Royal Melbourne show 2011. This is the first year we have entered the Melbourne royal as usually we are too busy due to work commitments. So this year I entered 5 birds and James entered 4. With all birds receiving a place. With the one Dark Indian hen I entered which wasn't any of my usual showing crew due to broken wing feathers. She achieved best Large Indian Hen and Reserve Hard feather bird in show. With the one grey Silkie I entered she took out best and champion Any other color Silkie.With my Duck wing cock he placed 2nd, my cockerel placed 1st and my pullet came 3rd. All competing against strong competition. The cockerel was in a class of 16.
James' Bantam langshan Cockerel drew a lot of attention gaining champion junior Soft feather bantam . His Pit game pair also gained Best junior hard feather Champion pit game cockerel.He had lots of broken wing feathers so couldn't go further. His pit pullet got best AOV. His Black red light leg cockerel got Best Hard Feather.

We have been successful with a number of breeds including Indian Game Large and Bantam, Silkies, Old English Game Modern game , Silver and Blue Duck wings, Black Red Dark leg Black red light leg and Pit Game and Large Pit and Old English Game.
Now the shows are over it is on with the breeding of our birds. They are settling into their breeding environments. Staying out of the cold and feeding to their hearts content on premium mix. With greens.
